2020 – That’s a Wrap Folks

As is my tradition, I like to finish off the year with a friendly JibJab year in review video. I grew up watching JibJab and some of their stuff is amazing. They stopped doing them for a while, but I’m glad to see it back again.

I’m going to drop a link to their YouTube Channel below, feel free to check it out if you want.

Well, this is it! We have finally made it to the end of the year that will more than likely never be forgotten, and I won’t be sorry to see it go. But what will 2021 bring us to replace it with? Hopefully nothing like we have had, but I guess we will find out in due course.

It’s been a year of challenges and difficulties for my personal and professional life, but I have still managed to get a fair few things done throughout the year that I am proud of.

From a personal perspective, I’ve grown quite a lot this year, learning more and more things about mental illnesses and managing my journey with it. I climbed back out of the bottomless dark pit of despair many times actually, and each time it got harder and harder. I like to think of it as stacks on pretty much. In a few days, I’m looking forward to going camping with my folks and my Son and Daughter. Hoping they enjoy it as much as I am going to.

The businesses kept ticking over slowly with the whole COVID-19 lockdown situations. It gave me more time to spend on my mental health advocacy work and get more information out there. I am thrilled that I finished my book and got it published. I didn’t think I would get over the finish line for a while, but I did, and it turned out nicely.

My website craigmarchant.com got released early in the year, and I’m happy to report that it has just undergone an update as well – have made the whole thing a bit lighter, it was too dark I feel.

Goals for 2021

Everyone is doing a focus word for the year, and while I want to do the same – I need to focus on both the personal side of things and the business.

My personal goal word for 2021 is Health! Yes, this is the year that I finally get all of this excess body weight off. I got down to 120 kgs in 2016 with the Gastric Sleeve – and I can do it again. The goal is to be 100kg’s or less by the end of the year.

My business goal word for 2021 is Growth! I’m setting myself an intention to grow the business side of things 3x by the end of the year. It’s going to take some serious work, but I’m up for the challenge.

I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who has helped make my year successful and to get the word out about better mental health. I will see you all in the New Year. We have lots to do.

Thanks,

Craig Marchant
