🛠️ Site Updates

I’ve been working hard behind the scenes to give the Mental Health Resource Hub a proper facelift, and it’s finally live!

The old version was… let’s say “functional” (and leave it at that). But the new version? It’s cleaner, faster, and way easier to navigate. I had a custom plugin built that neatly displays all the links in a much more organised and user-friendly way.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Country selector: You can now select your country from a dropdown list and instantly see links specific to your region.

  • Global view: Not fussed about location? Just select “Global” to see everything in one go.

  • Search bar: Got something specific in mind? Type it in and boom — results in seconds.

My goal was to make it easier for anyone (including you) to find exactly what they’re looking for without the hassle.

I’ve also installed a shiny new caching plugin to help speed things up. Hopefully, this means no more endless loading wheels — because nobody has time for that, right?

💬 Personal Update

On a more personal note, it’s been a pretty rough couple of years in our household — if I’m being completely honest. My wife was diagnosed with cancer, and as you can imagine, that turned our world upside down.

Between treatments, hospital visits, and all the emotional ups and downs that come with something like that, life has been… a lot. That’s actually part of what pushed me to overhaul the Resource Hub, because when you’re searching for answers or support, the last thing you need is to be scrolling endlessly through cluttered pages. You need quick access, clear info, and reliable resources — fast.

The update is my way of making that experience a bit easier for anyone else going through something similar.

I’m also working on my second book, which will complement my first one. It’s still early days, so I’m taking it slow — but I’ll share updates as it comes together. Writing has always been my way of processing things, so I’m excited (and slightly terrified) to dive back into it.
